Need open space

I need a open space to rent. I have a fitness bootcamp class and I need an open space facility to conduct it. I'm looking to use the space 2-3 times per week for a hour at a time. Anyone know of any places I can look into? a gymnasium type of facility would be perfect or smaller if it has to be.

Hamos, Housing Advocate to Anchor Land Trust Meeting

The Citizens' Lighthouse Community Land Trust, Evanston's nonprofit dedicated to creating permanently affordable housing, will hold its anuual meeting on Sunday, May 17, 2009 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM at St. Nicholas Church, 806 Ridge Ave., in Evanston.  State Rep. Julie Hamos (D-18th) and Bob Palmer, Policy Director for Housing Action Illinois, will be the featured speakers. A special appearance by Congresswoman Jan Schakowsky is also scheduled. Information on the land trust concept will be available.

Aldermen, CHDOs Host Affordability & Foreclosure Forum

Thursday evening, Nov. 13, 2008 at the Levy Center, Ald. Delores Holmes (5th) and Lionel Jean-Baptiste (2nd) hosted a free community forum on the related issues of affordable housing and home foreclosure. Speakers from the various Evanston "CHDOs" (Community Home Development Organizations) presented some of the options for persons looking for affordable housing in Evanston.

Springfield Stalemate Stalls 6th Ward Affordable Home

Contrary to some misperceptions, affordable housing advocates in Evanston, at least all those I know, don't want to confine affordable housing to only one part of the town. In fact, for many months, the Citizens Lighthouse Community Land Trust has been working on the acquisition and development of a single-family home in the 6th Ward in northwest Evanston, and had even entered into a contract for purchase.

Public Invited to Land Trust Meeting May 18

The Citizens' Lighthouse Community Land Trust will hold its annual meeting 2:00 pm, Sunday, May 18, at the Levy Center, 300 Dodge Ave. Members of the public are invited to attend and to learn more about the land trust model of affordable housing, by which units are made permanently affordable rather than on a one-time basis. The CLCLT is currently marketing a 3-bedroom house at 2212 Washington St. for $180,000 to a qualifying family. For details, click here.
