CSNA to Co-Host Public Forum Sept. 18 on the Future of Harley Clarke and Lighthouse Beach

CSNA is pleased to co-host a special program with NoParkSale and the Southeast Evanston Association on Weds., September 18 at 7 p.m. in the Parasol Room on the 4th floor of the Evanston Civic Center, 2100 Ridge Avenue.

The program, Lighthouse Landing Park/Harley Clark Initiative: Next Steps will help attendees learn how other communities have saved historic properties for community use and provide an opportunity for you to share your ideas of how Harley Clarke can be repurposed for the benefit of the entire Evanston community.

The program will feature a presentation by Roula Alakioutou, FAIA, the restoration architect for the Berger Park Mansion and Park in Chicago.

Her presentation and other background presentations will provide context for a lively discussion, Q and A, and brainstorming session.  It will provide an opportunity to examine options and identify short and long term goals for further discussion.

Your participation is critical to the future of Evanston’s parkland and historic properties, so please join us on the 18th. For more information and background visit the city website or www.noparksale.org or this site for updates.

This session will be at a perfect time, given the report that is due to the City on Monday, Sept.16.
