Residents of the Central Street neighborhood should plan ahead and be prepared for traffic, congestion and lots of fans on Central Street this weekend when Northwestern hosts Ohio State at Ryan Field, kickoff at 7 p.m.! Learn more at the City website.

Be Prepared: Homecomings, ESPN GameDay & More This Weekend

Many people will be coming to Evanston for the Northwestern University and ETHS homecoming events and football games, including the early Saturday morning broadcast of ESPN's College GameDay TV show fromjust south of Lakeside Field on the NU campus.

“Mike & Mike,” ESPN Radio’s sports talk show, will broadcast their show live from 5:00 to 9:00 a.m. on Friday, October 4 from Deering Meadow, the green space between Deering Library, (1935 Sheridan Road) and Sheridan Road. At 10:00 a.m., Local ESPN 1000 radio show begins its broadcast from the same location.

Sheridan Road will be closed from Lincoln to Clark Streets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, October 4 for the NU Homecoming Parade (see details, right column).

The NU vs. Ohio State football game is sold out (47,130 capacity). Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and kick-off is at 7:12 p.m. on Saturday, October 5.

The ETHS Homecoming Dance in the ETHS Fieldhouse takes place from 7:00 to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 5.
