2015 Green Ball Early Bird Ticket Prices End Friday, May 1

EVANSTON, ILLINOIS - The Evanston Environmental Association (EEA) and the City of Evanston invite Chicagoland community members to attend the 4th Annual Evanston Green Ball on Friday, May 29, 2015 from 7 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Levy Center, located at 300 Dodge Ave. in Evanston.

The Green Ball is celebrated as one of the year’s best environmental events, with all proceeds supporting programs and operations at the Evanston Ecology Center. This year, the ball will feature all of the culinary action that Evanston has to offer, including local breweries, restaurants and caterers that make Evanston the dining and entertainment mecca of the North Shore. Live music will be performed throughout the evening by Ear Candy, and the event will feature displays of award-winning local environmental art.

“We cannot believe what this event has become,” said EEA President Rick Nelson. “Last year we had nearly 400 attendees, which is great, as our organization not only keeps Evanston a green community, but we also educate the next generation on how to take care of our Earth.”

Through Friday, May 1, “early bird” tickets are available for a reduced price of $65. After that date, tickets will be sold at their regular price of $75. “Friend of the Ecology Center” tickets are also available for $100. Admission includes food, drinks and live entertainment. Wine will be sold separately. To purchase your tickets, visit evanstonenvironment.org/greenball.html.

Eco Center Sitters at the Green Ball

New this year, the Green Ball will offer a special Eco Center Sitters service for attending parents. Evanston Ecology Center staff will be on site at the Levy Center to offer children a fun-filled Friday night. Activities will include a snack, games, animal encounters, a nature walk, and more. Pre-registration is required; no drop-ins. The rate is $20 per child for Evanston residents; $25 for non-residents. Register at cityofevanston.org/register, or call/text 847-448-4311.
