Remember to Come to the 2009 Evanston Green Living Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3

Central Street neighbors, their families and friends are all invited to attend the 2009 Evanston Green Living Festival which will be held at the Evanston Ecology Center (2024 McCormick Blvd) on Saturday, October 3.

The festival was created to educate attendees on how to lower their personal carbon footprint and live in a more sustainable manner. The festival is fun and educational – offering numerous exhibits, presentations, and demonstrations to attendees. You can listen to environmental thought-leaders present on green topics, check out Tesla Motors’ all-electric car, purchase a rain barrel, sign-up for the delivery of local and organic food, or take a bicycle rickshaw ride.

Kids can see a variety of animals in the Animal Room, listen to captivating storytellers, attend an eco-musical just for children, ride the “energy bicycle”, or stop by the booth of the ETHS “Green Team”.

This will be the third festival and expectations are high. 800 people attended the first festival in 2007, and 1500 people attended last year. This year the festival will offer a diverse, exciting group of exhibitors including a collection of businesses and organizations who will be at the festival for the first time.

For more details on this year's festival, please visit the festival web site.  You can see the festival sponsors, exhibitors, presenters, kid’s activities, the festival schedule and much, much more.  We also encourage Facebook users to go to our Facebook page and add yourself as a guest if you plan to attend the festival.  Reserve October 3 and come to the entertaining and educational 2009 Evanston Green Living Festival.  You'll have a great time.  Live Green, Live Inspired!
