Aug. 10  Evanston had 2 new COVID-19 cases today, with an average of 5.4 case in the last 7 days. The State reported 1,319 new cases today, the second day in the 1,300s. In the prior two days, the State’s new cases were in the 2,000s.

Three Men Charged in July 26 Murder on Hartrey

Police have arrested three men – two from Sauk Village and one from Evanston – in connection with the July 26 shooting death of Andrew Williams, said Commander Brian Henry of the Evanston Police Department in a prepared statement. Police have alleged that all three participated in the crime and have been charged with first degree murder.
