In an action that borders on malfeasance, the Planning and Development committee voted Monday evening to approve their bastardized version of the Downtown plan.  The vote was 6 to 3 for approval.
Apparently a number of the aldermen still believe we can "develop" ourselves out of our economic woes.  How out of touch with reality is that?
Just another example of government gone horribly wrong in Evanston.
In the early days of our country the cry was "No taxation without representation!"  This should be the battle cry of Evanstonians as the aldermen do not represent the views and desires of the constituents.  Since there is no representation the City has lost the right to tax its residents.
 I am just apalled at the actions taken by City government!
