Shoppers Delight at Central Street Retail Therapy

The sidewalks  stay unrolled tonight, Thurs., Oct. 7, from 6-9 pm at the Central Street Business Association's twice-yearly "Retail Therapy" on Central Street in Evanston. The popular, festive evening event features numerous specials, unadvertised sales, and store treats ranging from live music or art to wine and cheese. Always popular with commuters and shoppers, the event tonight promises to be blessed with super weather.
 
Come and put your wallet to a good cause by dropping some sales tax dollars into the Evanston economy! Among the businesses offering special inducements for shoppers:

Stella (trunk show featuring jewelry designer Sophia Forero, including a raffle); Happy Husky Bakery (book signing by Animal Communicator Dr. Kim Ogde; The Spice House (book signing of Good Enough to Eat by author Stacey Ballis); Linz & Vail (sidewalk café and live music); Walsh Natural Health (Color Energy Healing with Lisa Iris, a certified conscious colors practitioner);Jacky’s on Prairie (free pumpkins for kids, hot cider and smores, and a $29 Taste of Central Street three-course prix fixe dinner special;  Allegro Dance Boutique (in-store fashion show); Maya Papaya & Tony Macarony (trunk show for Mini Rotation tees and knits for kids); CityFit (free movement assessment); Montoya Fiber Studio (trunk show of yarns from Leilani Arts); Lois & Company (donating 10% of proceeds to the Evanston Shelter for Battered Women and Their Children; and Perennials.
